Lithium Solar Batteries

Keep the lights on when the grid goes down

Lithium Solar Batteries Built Into Every WMS Solar Kit

We sell complete solar panel kits, including the batteries.

Every kit on our current kit sheets comes with lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries and a 10-year battery warranty, from a 2.56 kWh starter battery up to 60+ kWh of whole-home storage. LiFePO4 outperforms traditional AGM, lead-acid and wet batteries, and the batteries in our kits are maintenance-free.

Each kit is pre-built, pre-programmed and assembled in our Show Low shop. You just connect the batteries and panels. Pick it up in Show Low, or have WMS install it at your home.

How Battery Storage Works in a WMS Kit

Solar charges the batteries

Your panels feed the charge controllers in the inverter, which charge the lithium batteries during the day.

Batteries carry the night

After sundown or when the grid goes down, the inverter runs your home, cabin or RV from the batteries.

A generator backs it up

Every kit has a generator input or a generator-ready inverter, so you can recharge through long cloudy stretches.

Room to Grow

Start with the kit that fits today and add batteries as your needs grow. Our current kit sheets list these add-ons:

3kW kit: a second 24V 100Ah battery, $418
5kW SRNE Small: a second 5.1 kWh battery, $988
6kW EG4 Basic: a third 5.1 kWh battery, $988
6kW EG4 Full: 2 more 5.1 kWh batteries, $1,998
12kW EG4 Basic: more 100Ah batteries, $988 each

Solar Battery FAQ

What kind of batteries come in your solar kits?

Every kit uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries. Our 5kW through 24kW kits use 48V 5.1 kWh batteries. The 3kW kit uses a 24V 100Ah (2.56 kWh) battery, and the 4kW Starter Kit uses a BigBattery 24V MULE (3 kWh).

How long is the battery warranty?

Our current kit sheets list a 10-year warranty on the lithium batteries in every kit and 25 years on panels. Inverter warranties vary by kit, for example 5 years on the LUX inverters in the 24kW kit.

How much battery storage do I need?

It depends on what you run and for how long. Our kits range from 2.56 kWh to 60+ kWh. Bring a power bill or a list of your appliances to our Show Low shop, or call, and we will size the kit.

Can I add batteries later?

Yes. Most kits are built to expand. For example, the 5kW SRNE Small and 6kW EG4 Basic kits each list an added 5.1 kWh battery for $988.

Why lithium instead of lead-acid or AGM?

LiFePO4 outperforms traditional AGM, lead-acid and wet batteries, and the lithium batteries in our kits need no maintenance. It is the battery chemistry we build every kit around.

Can you upgrade my old lead-acid battery bank?

Yes. We evaluate existing solar systems and upgrade battery storage. Lithium is a great option if your lead-acid batteries have gone bad. Call (928) 251-0114 to set up an evaluation.

Do the batteries come installed?

Kits are pre-built, pre-programmed and assembled in our Show Low shop. You just connect the batteries and panels and turn it on. Pick up your kit in Show Low or have WMS install it at your home.
