Saint Johns Solar Questions

Answers on kits, batteries, installs and incentives.

Who installs solar in Saint Johns, AZ?

White Mountains Solar, at 1801 E. Deuce of Clubs in Show Low. Pick up a complete DIY kit, or have our local installers put it in at your home, ranch or shop.

Do you serve all the White Mountains, AZ?

Yes. We serve Show Low, Pinetop-Lakeside, Heber-Overgaard, Snowflake-Taylor, Concho, Saint Johns, Greer, Vernon, Eagar, Springerville, Linden and Clay Springs. See all service locations.

Are your solar kits pre-built and pre-tested?

Yes. Every kit is pre-built, pre-programmed and pre-tested for your loads. It comes assembled, so installation is easy: you connect the batteries and panels.

Are your solar kits expandable?

Yes. Kits scale by the inverter. Start at 6,000 or 12,000 watts and add more later: two 12,000 watt inverters make a 24,000 watt system, and more can be paralleled. Match the batteries and panels to the added capacity.

Can solar keep my home running in an outage?

Yes, with battery storage. Every kit includes batteries that carry the loads you pick during an outage. Tell us what must stay on, like a well pump, and we will size it.

What size solar kit do I need?

A ranch outbuilding or small cabin may need 3,000 watts. A home with mini splits and freezers often needs around 6,000. Electric water heaters, dryers, ovens and main well pumps push you to 10,000 or more.

Do you sell batteries, inverters and solar panels?

Yes. We sell lithium batteries, inverters, accessories, and new and used solar panels. Stop in and see what is in stock.

Do you sell backup power systems and generators?

Yes. We sell battery backup systems and Briggs & Stratton standby generators. We can pair them with solar or use them on their own.

Do you sell Mr. Cool mini splits?

Yes. We carry Mr. Cool mini splits and offer insulation to go with them, so your home holds the heat and cool you pay for.

Do solar panels work in a Saint Johns winter?

Yes. Panels make power on cold, clear days, and snow slides off tilted panels. Open sky helps, and we size your kit with winter sun in mind.

Is there a solar tax credit in Arizona?

Yes. Arizona offers a residential solar credit of 25% of the cost, up to $1,000, claimed on Form 310. Ask your tax pro if your system qualifies. See solar tax credits.

What changed with solar incentives?

The federal 30% residential credit ended for systems installed after Dec 31, 2025. Arizona's credit remains, and utilities pay less for exported power, which is one reason to store your own in batteries.
